The lightweight graphite frame and sideplates, along with aluminum frame rings, make the PENN Rival Level Wind ultralight and versatile. It also features a forged and machined aluminum spool with Line Capacity Rings. The auto-engaging gears consist of marine-grade bronze alloy main and machine-cut brass pinion gears, resulting in a recovery rate of 29” | 74cm with each turn of the crank and a gear ratio of 5.1:1.

The multi-stop bearing system, with its shielded 2-ball bearing system, provides control during intense battles. The HT-100 Star Drag System is equipped with carbon fiber washers, offering a maximum drag of 15lb | 6.8kg to exhaust the fish without exhausting the angler. It is designed with a right handle position for convenience.

The line capacity of the PENN Rival includes Mono Capacity yd/lb: 475/15 315/20 290/25 and Braid Capacity 865/20 650/30 455/50. The line capacity rings ensure that anglers can easily track how much line is remaining during the fight with a fish.
